Americano recipe

Americano is a Campari based cocktail with sweet vermouth and club soda. Its original name was "Milano-Torino" due to the fact that its main ingredients Campari, is from Milano(Milan) and Cinzano, the vermouth is from Torino(Turin). This cocktail was first served at Cafe Campari, the bar owned by its creator Gaspare Campari. From 1900 onwards, this cocktail came to be known as "Americano" due to the Americans' fondness with this drink.
